We all know someone who has served our country honorably and is deserving of our attention on the day reserved for them, Veterans Day. With no official ceremony in place, however, it’s up to us to decide how to best go about showing our gratitude for the sacrifices and efforts our brave vets have made. Here in Pueblo, we have the parade, and like many cities across the U.S., enjoy time with our friends and family, home-cooked meals and the sharing of stories from those who spent a part of their lives in the military. On this day, we make personal tributes as much as we celebrate collectively. And we at Campbell’s Flowers think that flower-giving should be a part of both.
If the vet you wish to honor with flowers is a male, it can be tricky to know exactly what to get. And why should he miss out on all that a meaningful grouping of flowers can communicate? We present our 48 Ford Pickup Bouquet, which serves up a heaping of roses, daisies, and carnations from the bed of an old fashioned truck. It’s a happy arrangement, both celebratory and fun, and yet it’s still picking up on those American flag colors, with the red carnations and blue statice.
On the other hand, if your favorite patriot is a fan of lush bouquets already, send Beautiful in Blue. This arrangement has that gorgeous pop of blue hydrangea against a variety of white flowers set in a cobalt blue vase. This lovely design also has a sense of whimsy about it and somehow manages to be appropriately poignant, too.
No matter how you’re spending Veterans Day – and no matter who your veterans are – we at Campbell’s Flowers believe that when it comes to ceremonial occasions, flowers are always a fit.
