One of the best resolutions you can make on the New Year is to commit to making sure that the people you love the most know it all year. It's not necessarily an intention we put at the top of the list along with better diet and exercise, but it should be, and no doubt we mean to do exactly that, each and every year. We at Campbell's Flowers have seen all kinds of floral gift giving, from the last-minute purchase to the thoughtfully planned. One approach we love for the New Year is the idea of giving someone flowers every month. Read More about Bouquets Of Flowers All Year Long »

International Floral Distributors annual trend report is out, and we at Campbell's Flowers couldn't be more jazzed. Of the four floral design approaches identified, there's one we want to highlight in this week's blog. Flowers for Secret Santa

'Tis the season for Secret Santa, the game that brings groups of people together to anonymously swap gifts. This gift exchange emerged from Scandinavia, where legend held that a Santa Claus-like figure would go around knocking on doors, his big bag filled with presents in tow. When the doors were answered, he'd vanish, leaving behind a gift and, sometimes, a few lines of verse hinting at his identity. At Campbell's Flowers, we're here to make your Secret Santa game - or Yankee Swap, White Elephant, Conspiracy Santa - the best one yet. Read More about Flowers for Secret Santa »

Try a Classic Cornucopia Centerpiece

From among our many Thanksgiving floral arrangements, we at Campbell's Flowers have plucked the beloved cornucopia to hold up as the perfect centerpiece. Why? The horn of plenty has been around since Zeus accidentally broke off the horn of the she-goat that was nursing him. That myth helped establish the cornucopia as emblematic of sustenance and nourishment. More stories followed, as did the act of bringing a goat horn to the table and filling it with the fruits of that season's harvest. Today, we not only fill our cornucopias (now horn-shaped baskets) with food, we fill them with flowers. In essence, when you bring a cornucopia to your table, you're preserving a symbol of the harvest and abundance that has been around since antiquity. Gift Baskets for Hospitable Hosts

Don't arrive empty-handed to Thanksgiving this year. Even if you're bringing a side item for the table, it's customary to offer a host or hostess gift as well. After all, there's no more elaborate dinner than Thanksgiving, when both planning and execution are at their most demanding. We here at Campbell's Flowers believe that a gift basket communicates gratitude for your host's efforts and encourages them to do something nice for themselves after the holiday onslaught is over.
